It is estimated that in one year in America 10,000 churches will split. We are well aware that the devil is vehemently opposed to the local new testament church, and is fervently attacking pastors and church families around the world.
The apostle Paul warned of “grievous wolves” that enter in ,”not sparing the flock”. Jude warns us about certain men crept in unawares in verse 10 “But these speak evil of those things which they know not, but what they know naturally, as brute beast, in those things they corrupt themselves.”
Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words. At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 2 Timothy 4:14-17
The Bible says in 1 Samuel 23:16 “And Jonathan Saul’s Son arose and went to David in the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.”
Part of raising up the foundations involves “strengthening the things that remain” (Rev 3:2) God has given us a desire to be a strength, and an encouragement to God’s servants and churches all across our country. Moses had Aaron and Hur, David had Jonathan, and Paul had Silas, Philemon, and others.
